Morris campus developers work closely with IT Service Coordination services to assist Morris campus students, staff, and faculty in the use, integrate, and/or development of applications to assist in the day to day activities of the campus.

Document Collaboration

The University provides students, staff and faculty with services that enable secure creation, storage and sharing of files using Google Drive. Google Drive enables you to create and share word processing documents, spreadsheets and presentations online, and collaborate with others on group projects.

Document Management

This service enables departments and business units at the University to capture documents in their native formats by scanning or importing. Once captured, documents can be securely shared with coworkers and routed to the right people at the right time through workflow processes.

Google Search Appliance

The University's Google search appliance is a powerful cluster of computers that allow everyone to quickly find specific information on University Web pages, and it is based on the same search technology as the google.com Web search.

Personal Website Hosting

Personal website hosting is available for all faculty, staff, and student groups at the University of MInnesota, Morris. These web sites are a valuable service, especially in support of faculty research or teaching, providing a place to share updates and information.

Web Accessibility

The University of Minnesota has adopted the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, level AA, as the Web accessibility standard for University of Minnesota web content.

  • All new and redesigned Web pages published by any college, department, program, or unit, as well as other Web resources published, hosted or otherwise provided by the University of Minnesota, shall be in compliance with the WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
  • Web pages, including legacy or archive pages, that are specifically requested to be made accessible as an accommodation for an individual with a disability shall be made accessible or an equally effective alternative must be provided within 10 business days.

Information-based pages

Communicate the same information in an accessible format, and with an equivalent level of accuracy.

Interactive or service pages

Provides for completion of a process (e.g. registration) in a time interval comparable to that of non-disabled users, and with comparable effort on the part of the requestor.

Campus Resources

Campus technology staff can assist with implementation and consultation of web accessibility best practices. Services are available to scan websites for potential accessibility concerns.

Website Analytics

This service enables University website publishers to collect, analyze, and report on website traffic data.  The Morris campus currently uses Google Analytics for website analytics.

Website Content

The University provides access to tools that enable students, faculty, and staff to publish and manage websites ranging from simple personal sites to organizational sites with large amounts of content managed by many people.

Workflow Processing

This service enables collegiate and business units to quickly generate web-based forms with defined business process pathways. Units and users are able to monitor the progress of submitted forms. In addition, IT professionals can create enhanced or custom forms by adding complex integration functions and/or transforming the web form into a sophisticated web application.
