Video & Web Conferencing
The Morris campus provides interactive television/telepresence conferences hosted or received by the University of Minnesota system, or through the State of Minnesota Learning Network. Through these associations, UMM can connect anywhere in the world where they have compatible H.323 equipment.
Computer support and browser-based conferencing tools such as WebEx, Google Hangouts, Acano, Zoom and more are available. Scheduling for the facilities and equipment where these meetings can occur is handled through Astra. These spaces utilize LED display, collaborative work spaces, premium sound, mobile device sharing (BYOD), document cameras and more.
Facilities to accommodate these interactive events are located throughout Humanities Fine Arts Center, including the Learning Studio (HFA 45) that can accommodate up to 48 people; Telepresence (HFA 7) that can accommodate up to 12 people.
